Barfer's

The Task
Barfer’s is a cats and dogs food nutrition company with their sole focus on Barf-food in the industry. “Barf” is the abbreviation for „Biologisch artgerechte Rohfütterung” in German, meaning “biological and species-appropriate raw food.” Around 25% of dog owners and around 6% of cat owners already using Barfing as an option to feed their pets. The market is starting to recognise its importance in the dog and cat food nutrition sector. Building on their claims to have nutritional benefits as well as natural ingredients it was imperative to modernise one of the biggest german barfing companies by aligning their branding with their natural ethics, core values, and ensuring long-term relevance. The challenge was to prepare a brand design that the company could identify, work with and further develop in the future including everything from Logo to packaging and their online presence.

My Role

In this collaboration I was the lead designer and Art Director, working on the core look and feel of the new branding, as well

as being the client's contact person and problem solver for all visual topics.
